How to get Good Marks in The Examinations?

11:22 PM |
Tests and Examinations are a regular part of the school environment. It is important that exams be kept in proportion-they are important, but not the end of the world. Some things can be done to make exams  more valuable, worthwhile and less threatening experience for the students. So, here I am presenting some of the tips for the students so that they may able to utilize their times of their studies and improve their results.

TIPS FOR THE STUDENTS

  • Have all the necessary Items with you.-You can't borrow items such as pencil, pen, ruler or calculator during the examination period
  • Have a relaxing night before your examination- Have an early night and try to have healthy breakfast.
  • Read the entire paper-Mark the questions which you can solve easily and start to solve from the easiest.
  • Plan your time- Planning the time is the most important thing that have to be followed during the examination. It helps to take you out from nervousness.
  • Jot down your ideas as they come up to you-While you are answering one of the questions, information about another may suddenly occur to you . Jot it down somewhere because when you come to that question perhaps an hour later, you may have forgotten it.
  • Don't leave any questions unanswered- If you are short of the time, use short procedures. Remember you can only be marked on the answers you give.
  • Never leave the room early-If you have time left at the end, add information(eg. margin). You can't return if you suddenly remember a fact after you have left it.
  • Never omit an entire question-No matter how well you answer other questions, you must give equal time to all of your questions to get marked well.If you write nothing, you can't receive any marks and you lost all your marks for a particular question.Write something-it may at least give you some points.
  • Maintain a stable energy level-Eating foods such as chocolate bars before examination might give you an energy boost yo keep you with but your blood sugar level will drop within an hour and your energy will plunge dramatically, making it hard for you to concentrate.

    Note to the Parents-

    • Encourage children to believe in themselves.
    • Explain to the child that success at exams opens door of opportunities but do not reflect a true and balanced description of their strengths and weakness.
    • Negative statements at this time may cause emotional damage and scar young minds.
    • Parents must be realistic about their expectations, which must be based on the child 's past and present performance.
    • Avoid comparing your child with others as this loses their self-esteem.
    • Be stern with your child, but do not exert too much pressure. If you feel that child is not adequately prepared for his examinations do not scold for his results.
    • Parents must continuously give the support and encouragement to their child.
    • Negative statements coming from either parents or teachers may completely weakens any glimmer of hope that the child may be success in his examinations in the future.

Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback is the news recording top position and above that Sonakshi Sinha’s rejection to feature opposite her has created a lot of buzz. Filmmaker Mani Ratnam has roped in Aishwarya Rai and Shruti Haasan as two lead actresses for his flick and Sonakshi too was approached to be the third main face but the 26-year-old turned down the offer because of prior commitments.

Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha narrated the situation remarking, "She loved the role and it was really tough for her to let go of the offer. But she had prior commitments and didn't have the required dates. But she will definitely work with Mani Sir in the future." It’s not the first flick Sonakshi has turned down. And the Oscar goes to... Bollywood directors choose their best film

11:12 PM |
Sujoy Ghosh: "I want Stephen Frears' Philomena to win. There's no way it'd win. But that's the one I love the most. She is the one who stayed with me."
Sudhir Mishra: "My Oscar for Best Film would have to go to Martin Scorcese's The Wolf Of Wall Street. It's Scorcese's best film since Good Fellas. People who have objected to the tone of the film don't understand it's the world that Scorcese has depicted that's squirmy, and not the way it is portrayed. It's a world of corruption and depravity and the film goes at it full-on."

Ananth Mahadevan: "Steve McQueen's 12 Years A Slave. The depiction of the dilemma of a man unjustly sold as a slave captures a regrettable chapter of American history. Steve McQueen paints a heart-rending picture. I prefer this human drama to the other nominees."

Shoojit Sircar: "It's a toss-up between Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity and Martin Scorcese's The Wolf Of Wall Street."

Amole Gupte: "My choice is Gravity. It's the 21st Century Solaris"

Ajay Bahl: "I loved The Wolf Of Wall Street. I think its Leonardo di Caprio's best performance to date."

Raj Nidimoru: "Alfosno Cuaron's Gravity hands-down. It's a spectacular achievement where unprecedented craft meets beautiful human emotions. A spectacle we experience only once in a while. What is interesting is that the principal actors have not been nominated. But the film on the whole shines over the others."

Bejoy Nambiar:
"Gravity is my choice, though I loved The Wolf Of Wall Street a lot more. But I still think Gravity is a path breaking cinematic experience .It will almost surely take the Brest Picture Oscar."

Prawaal Raman: "12 Years A Slave. It beautifully portrays the spirit of survival against all odds."

Santosh Sivan: "Gravity is awesome. It touches a new cinematic level."

Sahil Sangha: "As a diehard Scorcese fan I'd want to see The Wolf Of Wall Street win. Gravity is another favourite because it is a rare exception that given the technical boundaries it has pushed, it still touches us as a human story. Jean-Marc Vallee's Dallas Buyers Club and Philomena are also excellent. You have successfully asked the toughest question of the year and I'm suddenly not envying the Oscar jury one bit!"

Synopsis:
From the illustrious narratives of ancient Greek mythology where mortals and gods collide, comes the story of The Legend Of Hercules. A reimagining of the hero's epic origins, the film approaches Hercules' otherworldly and legendary history from the perspective of a young man struggling with his destiny.

Desperate to free her people from the rule of her vengeful husband and bring peace to the land, Queen Alcmene prays to the gods for guidance. She is granted a son, Hercules, by Zeus, the God of War. As his true identity remains secret, Hercules' illegitimacy is resented by King Amphitryon, who favors his elder son, Iphicles.

As a young man, Hercules falls in love with the beautiful Hebe, until they are suddenly torn apart by his father's proclamation that Iphicles shall marry the princess. Planning to run away and marry his love, Hercules is captured by King Amphitryon's guards and sent off to die at war. Escaping death, Hercules unites with fellow warrior, Sotiris, on a noble quest to free the kingdom from Amphitryon's tyranny, win back his true love from his brother's grasps, and take his place as the greatest of Greek heroes.

Starring Kellan Lutz in the title role, The Legend Of Hercules is a thrilling action adventure that comes to life at the hands of director RennyHarlin. With a cast of rising talent including Liam McIntyre, Gaia Weiss, Liam Garrigan, Roxanne McKee as well as Scott Adkins and RadeSerbedzija—the film grounds the ubiquitous characterizations of Hercules' superhuman strength and courage by revealing the humanity behind the man.

Movie News The New Kevin Hart and Kaley Cuoco Movie Sounds Crazy Awesome

9:29 PM |
http://meroknowledge.blogspot.com/
Kevin Hart continues to realize his plans for world domination in 2014. He teamed up with Ice Cube and found serious box office success with Ride Along (because Ice Cube has clearly found a formula... and he's sticking to it... no matter what). He's also got a Valentine's Day movie with Michael Ealy headed our way (About Last Night), and Think Like A Man Too will hit theaters in June. Now throw into the mix an upcoming romantic comedy called The Wedding Ringer, and we've got more Kevin Hart than we know what to do with. But this is a good thing.
Hart will be teaming up with The Big Bang Theory actor Kaley Cuoco, who plays a bridezilla with a socially-challenged fiancé, Josh Gad (pictured above in a photo from Cuoco's Instagram page). And by "socially-challenged" we mean that he has to hire a fake Best Man (Hart) and fake groomsmen because he has no friends in real life. These three  are sure to make a great comedic team, but they've got a lot of backup in terms of awesomeness with this project. Director Jeremy Garelick wrote the screenplay for The Break-Up, and — with an excellent supporting cast that includes Olivia Thirlby, Affion Crocket and Jenifer Lewis — it's safe to say that we have plenty to get excited about. Crocket is the guy who's been bringing us those insane rapper parodies over the years and Thirlby will play Cuoco’s sister, who starts catching feelings for Hart's character. Sounds like a hilarious time to us!

10 Mistakes 'American Horror Story' Needs to Stop Making

9:24 PM |
http://meroknowledge.blogspot.com/
American Horror Story has finished its third season with one of the most entertaining episodes in the past two years. But, honestly, the naming of Cordelia Foxx as Supreme was a twist we saw coming. There wasn’t much character development for her, or any of the people who survived to the final episode, to bring a sense of closure. There were so many dropped plot-points and extraneous characters, and something’s got to give. These past two seasons of American Horror Story have been sloppy and don’t shine a candle to Season 1.
1. Keep It Simple. These past two seasons had so much going, a satisfying conclusion was nearly impossible. Coven focused on everyone but the coven – a sadistic slave owner, vengeance-obsessed voodoo priestess, crazy Christians, an axe murderer, witch-hunters, and zombies all stole focus from the witches and their storyline. It’s hard enough to put that in a cohesive sentence let alone a cohesive season. Asylum had a lot going on, too. There was a horror-movie style serial killer, Nazi doctor, mutant horde, demon possession, and aliens. It’s just sloppy storytelling to have a world with all  those things existing in the same place. This isn’t The Avengers. Why not have a guest appearance by Falcor the flying dog?

2. Don’t Forget Character Development. Despite great lines and the highest caliber of actors to date, there were so many extraneous characters played by star names the series ignored core characters. The first episode and final episode featured the same characters, but we didn’t learn more about them over the course of the season. Still, Jessica Lange is such an amazing actor that she did so much with a pretty one-dimensional character: a snarky woman obsessed with immortality.

3. Less Stunt Casting. Part of the appeal of American Horror Story is the cast returns in new and interesting ways. With big names, there’s pressure to keep extraneous characters on the show longer. Then they have to conveniently leave before the season finale. Why did we know more about Delphine LaLaurie than the titular coven of witches? Her character didn’t further the plot at all. Patti LuPone’s character was resurrected for no logical reason. The Axeman?!?

4. Keep the Characters Together. The first two seasons kept all the characters in the same place, which allowed for more story and character development. So much action took place outside of Miss Robichaux's Academy that the coven lost focus. There was no reason why the school couldn’t have been Delphine’s old estate with her buried in the backyard. Why couldn’t Angela Bassett and Patti LuPone play members of the Witches Council? These detours robbed us from getting to know some amazing characters like Misty Day, Myrtle Snow, and Zoe Benson.

5. Don’t Drop the Ball on Important Plot Points. The writers come up with really great ideas then throw them away in favor of plotholes. Zoe had an interesting power with her killer vag, she defeated super-witch Marie Laveau’s magic, and reanimated a ghost. Why wasn’t she the Supreme or the Antichrist or something more interesting than Kyle’s girlfriend? How could Queenie ressurect Misty Day but not Zoe? Queenie left to go study voodoo with Marie but didn’t come back with any new power. These are all missed opportunities.

6. Know How It's Going to End. It’s nice when a show includes clues for the discerning watcher. However, some shows Lost have made it a valid choice for writers to not know how things will end. The first episode introduces Zoe in Coven and aliens in Asylum but nothing happens at all. It also seems the writers didn’t know who the Supreme was going to be. All signs pointed to Zoe or Madison. Conveniently, having Madison’s death make Cordelia the Supreme is an interesting mystery to leave unsolved. But it seems more a result of sloppy storytelling than intention. If Cordelia was set to be the Supreme all along at least make her a more vital part of the series. There was never a scene of an actual class at this school.

7. Give Characters the Exit/Death they Deserve. In Asylum, Sister Mary Eunice becomes possessed by the Devil and becomes the most interesting character on the show. She had a Sam/Diane attraction to Nazi Dr. Arthur Arden. They both were major antagonists but died in anticlimactic ways with no resolution to their storylines.

8. No More Racism.
The Nazi storyline didn’t come to a crescendo last season, so what was the purpose of going to Anti-Semitism? This season’s irresponsible treatment of its black characters was also an epic fail. It's completely implausible for an immortal super witch, who charges 10,000 a spell, to spend her free time doing hair at a ratchet beauty salon. It didn’t come off as ironically humorous as much as flat out racist. The season-long slavery arc was also a bit much.

9. Don’t Shock to Shock. The multiple molesting moms this season were gratuitous because they didn’t further the story or their sons’ characters. If you're going to go there at least make a point.

10. More Lily Rabe!
She’s the best part of the past two seasons.
‘Nuff said.
